Ryan Tubridy has denied that RTE were pulling a "weird stunt" during last Friday's edition of The Late Late Show.
Many people who tuned in to the latest episode of the RTE entertainment show last weekend noticed that something was up with the audience members.
During a pan shot of the crowd, viewers noticed that multiple women were wearing the same dress.

Many viewers thought it was part of a bit on the programme as they asked if an explanation would be given.
But on his RTE Radio One show on Monday, Ryan clarified that it wasn't a deliberate move by producers.
He told his listeners: "On last Friday's Late Late Show, there was a lot of fuss about how nearly half of the the women in the audience seemed to be wearing the same dress. I don't know what the answer to that problem is.
"Multiple women in the crowd were spotted wearing the same dress. Was that contrived? Was that some weird sort of fashion stunt we were trying to pull? Not at all. It just happens.
"First of all, the audience members always generally dress up and they all look a million dollars. The difficulty is that maybe they all go to a certain type of shop. The next thing you know is half of the audience are wearing the same dress."
The Dubliner also updated people on how the preparation for the Late Late Toy Show is going.
"Today is the 1st of November so if you are a friend or an associate of mine and you need me, I'll see you in and around the 27th of December…I’m gone," he chuckled.
“I have.. every minute of every hour of every day every hour and every day is jammed. We were looking at the diary today and how we laughed."
