The man found guilty of attempting to assassinate Donald Trump at his Florida golf course tried to stab himself in the neck with a pen after a verdict was read in federal court.
Ryan Routh, 59, had to be restrained by US marshals, according to US media reports, as his daughter Sara screamed “Dad, don’t hurt yourself,” inside the Fort Pierce courtroom on Tuesday. She also reportedly yelled inside court that her father had not hurt anyone and that she would get him out of prison.
