Ryan Reynolds has revealed he repeatedly had to tell Wrexham star Ollie Palmer to "put a f******g shirt on" around his wife Blake Lively.
The Deadpool star told the Fearless In Devotion podcast that every time he entered the dressing room with his Hollywood actress wife Blake to see the players, Palmer was always found topless. Reynolds joked that he had to keep telling 31-year-old striker Palmer to shirt up to speak to Lively "like a gentleman".
"Every time we've come as a family we've come over we have a walk down to the dressing room," Reynolds said. "Ollie is always the first one to walk out, completely shirtless, to have a conversation with my wife. I'm like 'Ollie put a f*****g shirt on and come back out to speak to her like a gentleman'.
"Ollie is one of the best guys I know, though. He is also one of the funniest guys I know. And I'm thrilled for him and his clothing brand. It's nice to see that take off."
Palmer has launched a clothing brand called WXM, which the club's players were seen wearing on their promotion celebration trip to Las Vegas after a record 111-point season.
Reynolds, 46, also said out of all the Wrexham players, it is Palmer who has been enjoying the limelight the most. McElhenney added: "It's not even close."
Lively herself was not happy with Reynolds and Rob McElhenney's purchase of the north Wales club to begin with, but has since shown her support by attending several matches including one against York City back in March. Lively and Reynolds were even absent from this year's Met Gala, missing it to attend Wrexham's open-top bus parade.
The Gossip Girl actress has since been spotted back Stateside, filming an upcoming film adaptation of 2016 novel It Ends With Us in New York just three months after giving birth to her fourth child. It will be her first role in three years.
