Blake Lively’s husband Ryan Reynolds is hoping to salvage what’s left of her reputation after the controversial It Ends With Us press tour.
ICYMI, Blake ruffled some feathers when she was seen promoting her haircare products and soda line during the It Ends With Us press tour — a movie about domestic violence. She’s also been embroiled in a bitter feud with co-star and director Justin Baldoni, and some questionable past interviews have since emerged.
Public opinion has been turning on Blake, but Ryan wants to stop her “fall from grace”.
“Ryan is deeply invested in helping Blake navigate this situation,” a source told Life & Style.
“With his keen eye for branding and his ability to turn any situation into a winning moment, Ryan is working closely with Blake’s team to reframe her public image in light of these troubling allegations.”
The insider noted that the couple were aware of comparisons between Blake and Ellen DeGeneres’ “fall from grace”.
“Blake is aware she needs to act fast… Ryan might be her last shot at salvaging her reputation,” the source claimed.
Ryan is known for being the brains behind a bunch of successful businesses, including Aviation American Gin, Mint Mobile and Wrexham AFC, but will his quirky marketing approach work when it comes to Blake’s public persona? It might be a better idea to just lay low and let everybody move on to the next big controversy.
Taylor Swift’s advice for Blake Lively amidst It Ends With Us backlash
There’s no shortage of A-list celebs for Blake to turn to for help, and she’s also apparently been leaning on Taylor Swift to get her through. Tay Tay knows a thing or two about tarnished reputations!
Heatworld claims Blake has been in a “state of panic” about the backlash she’s received, but Taylor has given her some sage advice.
“Taylor’s been a rock for Blake. She’s calling and texting all the time to cheer her up, and reminding her not to let all the negativity get her down — it’s par for the course when you make a big impact,” the insider said.
“Having Taylor’s backing means the world to Blake, and just proves she’s the kind of friend who’s there through thick and thin.”
Taylor is connected to It Ends With Us — with her song “My Tears Ricochet” appearing at a key moment in the movie. However, while it appears she has been supporting Blake privately, she’s yet to speak out about the movie publicly.
She’s avoiding getting tinged with any Bad Blood, I guess!
