Ryan Kent Fenerbahce contract details as ex-Rangers star arrives in Istanbul for new chapter

Ryan Kent has touched down in Turkey ahead of a new chapter at Istanbul giants Fenerbahce.

The former Rangers star left Ibrox as part of five key summer exits, before revealing he'd signed up with the SuperLig outfit. Now contract details have emerged with Fenerbahce confirming Kent will sign a four-year-deal with the club.

The Club's official website states that the Englishman has arrived in the Turkish capital ahead of medical checks before joining up the club ahead of the new season. The Yellow Canaries are hoping Kent can help them topple champions and bitter city rivals Galatasaray. Kent will join up alongside former Inter Milan and Man City hero Edin Dzeko who sealed a switch from the Serie A giants last month. Speaking to the official club website Kent told of his delight at joining.

Kent said: "From the moment I got the offer, I was looking forward to it. I'm so happy to finally be here. I've also heard very good things about Istanbul. I can't wait to meet with my teammates, our technical team and our fans."

Kent endured a miserable final season at Rangers only finding the net three times. But it was his performance as a whole which really dipped with Michael Beale hooking the winger at half time in last appearance for the club, the Scottish Cup semi-final loss to Celtic.

Kent was an integral part of Rangers run to the Europa League final in Seville with memorable performances against Dortmund and Crvena zvezda. But despite those displays Rangers were unable to cash in on the attacker who left in the summer as a free agent.

Michael Beale moved this summer to replace Kent and has recruited Abdallah Sima and Sam Lammers with Lammers taking on the number 14 jersey that belonged to Kent.
