Ruth Langsford appears to have taken a swipe online at estranged husband Eamonn Holmes after it was claimed she “found messages from another woman on his laptop”.
The Loose Women panelist sent ripples through the showbiz world last month when she announced that she and Holmes, both 64, were planning to divorce after 14 years of marriage and 27 years together.
Taking to Instagram on Sunday, Langsford shared a clip of her out walking dog Maggie, whom she shares with Holmes and is currently at the centre of a custody battle.
“Maggie. Happy Sunday”, she captioned her post, which was set to the song Pretty Girls Walk by Big Boss Vette and details moving on from an ex.
The lyrics say: ‘No matter what the ‘f*** these h*** talkin’ bout / Just know you a bad b****’.
‘S******’ on my ex (f*** him), on to the next (on God).’
While Langsford has not commented on reports by The Sun that the discovery of messages from another woman led to her calling time on their marriage, the post seems timely.
According to the publication, Langsford - who is currently taking extended leave from Loose Women - was “upset” at claims Holmes’ health was a contributing factor for their split.
In 2016, Holmes underwent a double-hip replacement operation lasting three-and-a-quarter hours after living with acute pain for many years.
The TV presenter then had back surgery last year to help relieve the symptoms but has been left using a wheelchair after the operation went “wrong”.
He has previously praised Langsford for her “amazing” support over the years.
The Standard has contacted a representative for Ruth Langsford for comment.
