Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes are reportedly heading to court over an estimated £10million court battle.
The Loose Women anchor, 66, tied the knot with former This Morning co-host Eamonn, also 66, in 2010 after 14 years of marriage.
But the former couple called time on their relationship almost two years ago, claiming their career trajectories had taken their marriage in “different directions”.
A trial has been set for November following earlier hearings in February this year and June of last year, according to The Sun.
A source told the newspaper that Ruth had initiated court proceedings for a so-called “financial remedy” hearing after negotiations between the pair broke down.
The case is now officially listed as Ruth Holmes vs Eamonn Holmes.
Court documents identify Ruth as the applicant, with former This Morning co-host Eamonn named as the respondent, according to The Sun.
A pre-trial review is expected to take place in the coming months.
The specifics of the proceedings between the estranged couple, who share a 24-year-old son, have not been made public.
But based on publicly available information regarding their careers and assets, the issues at trial could include an estimated personal fortune of around £5 million, as well as their former marital home in Weybridge, Surrey, which they purchased 12 years ago for £3.6 million.
It was reported in May last year that Ruth wanted to keep the house in the settlement.
Last year, Ruth was given a “severance of joint tenancy” on the property.
Public documents show this means that if Ruth dies, her share of the house would not pass to Eamonn, who is now in a relationship with counsellor Katie Alexander, 44.
Eamonn has since hired leading barrister Deborah Bangay KC to represent him in the dispute.
In May this year, it was reported Holmes had lost his job at Manchester United after 19 years amid ongoing health struggles.
The GB News presenter, 66, has been recovering from a stroke after being hospitalised in April.
Speaking on Scott Wright’s podcast Session7 in May, Holmes opened up about the challenges he faces in daily life and admitted he is uncertain about what the future holds.
“I don’t know. Society’s ageist,” he said. “I’m sick, I’m in a wheelchair, that’s been horrendous to deal with for two years.
“Certainly, I don’t think TV wants to know you. I can’t get up. I need help getting out of this chair. I have to have carers throughout the day.
“But once I’m sitting down, I can do everything. I understand my job, I understand what I’m supposed to do. But I understand it’s tough for people to deal with you.”
The veteran broadcaster has undergone multiple surgeries since 2016, including double hip replacements and treatment for shingles.
