At least five people were killed and dozens wounded after a Russian missile strike demolished much of a high-rise apartment building in the Ukrainian city of Dnipro.
The hit came as Russia launched its latest coordinated strikes on Ukraine after a roughly two-week pause, starting with what were called ballistic-type missiles aimed at Kyiv and the surrounding region in the morning and following up with an afternoon attack believed to have come from as many as 17 fighter jets.
Ukraine’s air defense intercepted 25 missiles out of a total of 38 fired, including high-precision rockets Kremlin forces launched from various directions, Ukraine’s Air Force said on their Facebook page following the attacks.
