Russell Martin says Joel Piroe is not currently open to revising his current deal at Swansea City, but insists there is no concrete interest from anyone in the Dutchman's signature at this stage.
Piroe has been strongly tipped for a move away this summer following an impressive breakthrough season in the Championship. The former Netherlands Under-20 international ended his maiden season in English football with an impressive tally of 24 goals, a record that has clearly caught the attention of outside admirers.
Leicester City has been touted as a potential destination in this window, although the Swans boss insists there has been little change in the striker's situation at present.
"I think Joel has been in Milan enjoying his holiday with his girlfriend," Martin told BBC Sport Wales.
"Julian (Winter, Swansea chief executive) has been speaking to his agent a lot to see if there is any change [in the situation], but absolutely nothing, no."
The 22-year-old still has two years left on his current deal, which he signed shortly after completing a a £1m move from PSV Eindhoven last summer, and Martin has confirmed that the club have already looked into offering the Dutchman fresh terms. However, at present, their efforts have seemingly been batted away.
"It's something that Joel's representatives are not interested in at this moment in time," he continued.
"I know Julian has mooted that to them but at this minute they don't think that is an option."
