Russell Brand ‘treated fan he raped like a piece of meat’, trial told

• Russell Brand , 51, is on trial at Southwark Crown Court charged with three counts of rape, three counts of sexual assault, and one count of indecent assault involving six women, allegations which he strongly denies.
• A complainant in her early 20s described in a recorded police interview how a consensual sexual encounter at Brand's Hampstead home in 2009 turned into rape when he forced her into non-consensual anal sex.
• The woman told the court that Brand ignored her repeated pleas to stop, left her feeling degraded and treated "like a piece of meat", and told her to clean up before putting on the television and leaving the room.
• Jurors heard that when the woman later confronted Brand over text messages regarding his treatment of her, he claimed he wanted to push her further before eventually apologising.
• Brand's defence team maintains that all past sexual encounters were fully consensual and have been reimagined by his accusers as the trial continues.
