RuPaul’s DragCon – the world’s biggest celebration of drag and queer culture – is set to return to London in early 2024.
The show – which last year saw the likes of Sum Ting Wong, Ginny Lemon and Baga Chips attend and perform at the convention – will take place across two days in the new year.
Some 150 queens performed at the 2023 edition. Meanwhile, Graham Norton, Michelle Visage and RuPaul himself were among the star-studded attendees.
This year when the show comes to town on January 13 and 14 2024 at the ExCel Centre in east London, the likes of Aquaria (RuPaul’s Drag Race S10 Winner), Blu Hydrangea (RuPaul’s Drag Race UK vs The World Winner), GiseÌle Lullaby (Canada’s Drag Race S3 Winner), Lawrence Chaney (RuPaul’s Drag Race UK S2 Winner) and Ra’Jah O’Hara (Canada’s Drag Race: Canada vs The World Winner) will be in attendance.
Event organiser World of Wonder today also announced that RuPaul’s DragCon UK After Hours will return on Friday 12 and Saturday 13 January. These are the additional star-studded drag shows featuring some of the best-known RuPaul’s Drag Race queens.
Tickets will go on sale on June 30 – in line with the 51st anniversary of London Pride. They will cost £40 for a general day admission ticket.
“RuPaul’s DragCon is the best way to ring in the new year and we are so delighted to be bringing the convention back to the UK at the ExCeL London!” said World of Wonder Co-Founders, Randy Barbato and Fenton Bailey.
“Be prepared to be overwhelmed as we welcome close to 150 Drag Race queens from over 10 countries, and over 75 performances on the DragCon main stage!
All talent and event announcements will be made over the course of the next few months.
