Rudy Giuliani Ordered To Appear In Federal Court

Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani departs defamation lawsuit at the District Courthouse in Washington

Former Donald Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani has been summoned to appear in federal court after allegations from election workers Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss that he is concealing valuable assets from them. The two workers are owed nearly $150 million for defamation by Giuliani following the 2020 election.

Lawyers for Freeman and Moss discovered that Giuliani's $6 million Manhattan apartment had been mostly emptied of its contents, with only a few items remaining. Attempts to retrieve Giuliani's luxury watches and a vintage Mercedes-Benz have also been unsuccessful.

Giuliani's legal team has been accused of evading the bankruptcy proceedings, prompting the judge to order his appearance in court later this week.

Despite Giuliani's lawyer citing a prior commitment for a radio show in Palm Beach, the judge rejected the request, emphasizing the importance of Giuliani's compliance with the court order.

Giuliani's radio show, affiliated with 'MyPillow' CEO Mike Lindell, has been his primary source of income. The former mayor has been seen using the vintage Mercedes-Benz, which he was supposed to transfer to Freeman and Moss, leading to further complaints from the workers' legal team.

Giuliani's lawyers claim that the contents of the Manhattan apartment have been moved to a storage facility on Long Island, but Freeman and Moss are facing challenges in accessing the items there.

Additionally, the workers are seeking control of Giuliani's $3.5 million Palm Beach condo and four Yankees World Series rings, which Giuliani's son claims were gifted to him by his father.

Giuliani's ongoing legal battles and the allegations of asset concealment have added another layer of complexity to his financial and legal troubles.
