RTE viewers left with same complaint after Roy Keane appears on Tommy Tiernan Show

Roy Keane was the big name guest on Saturday's Tommy Tiernan Show as the hit talk series returned to screens.

Keane was in town and made the surprise visit into the studio and is undoubtedly the most high profile celeb to grace the show.

Keane discussed all topics from marriage to alcohol to dogs and everything in between and in a rare turn of events was even invited to stay on beyond the ad break where guests usually only stay for one part of the show.

But a lot of RTE viewers were left with the same complaint after the interview aired.

All throughout the pandemic there was no crowd in studio which some viewers believed made the show a more intimate feel.

But the crowd returned for the new season and the move has not gone down well.

One social media user said: "This interview would have been better without the audience"

While another said: "#tommytiernan worked better with no audience"

And another added: "I wish Tommy was interviewing Roy without an audience. In fact, it's the first interview of this season and I know I will be saying the same thing all season. Not a fan of this format at all. #tommytiernan"
