RTE viewers were left in tears after the airing of Charlie Bird, Loud and Clear.
The heart-wrenching documentary explored the life and legacy of the former-RTE broadcaster who was diagnosed with Motor Neuron Disease.
The emotional episode opened with a backstage clip of his Late Late Show appearance where he vowed to climb Croagh Patrick.

Viewers were also moved after seeing the strong bond between Charlie and his wife, Claire, as she revealed the story of how they met.
The documentary covered some of the most iconic moments of Charlie's life including joining RTE, getting involved in the Gay Marriage Referendum of 2015, and his political experience during the Vietnam War.
Fans took to social media to praise the "Irish icon and warrior" with one person saying: "God almighty, watching Charlie Bird, Loud and Clear on RTE One.
"What an Irish icon and warrior Charlie is. You keep fighting, Charlie, the whole country is behind you. What an Irish man."
Another person said: "Charlie Bird is an absolute inspiration He is so courageous brave and lovely. The love he has for Claire is beautiful to watch. A fantastic amazing couple."
