RTE Room To Improve viewers couldn't believe their eyes after Sunday night's programme showed a fantastic retrofit transformation.
Those watching the show took to Twitter to praise architect Dermot Bannon for coming in under budget yet again this series.
This week's programme followed Dermot as he travelled to Thurles, Co. Tipperary to give clients Jim and Mary Moloney their dream indoor/outdoor living home.
Hoping to modernise their 30-year-old home, the couple decided to opt for a deep retrofit.
With their children now moved out, Mary and Jim were finally ready to alter their house to fit their needs and their love of the outdoors.
Like always, Dermot was under pressure to stick to a tight budget of €210,000, and with quantity surveyor Clare on the case, he managed to do it.
Weighing up the costs, Clare gave Jim and Mary some tough decisions to make before the process began to ensure the budget remained on track.
However, despite his reputation, Dermot managed to come in €10,000 under budget, giving the couple a completely transformed home.
Tweeting their praise, one viewer wrote: "#RoomToImprove wow, wow, wow!
"It's one reason to look forward to Sunday nights @DermotBannon
"What a retrofit. Where were their children? I can't imagine not wanting to be there to see this amazing renovation if it was happening to my family home".
A second wrote: "I want a pergola ,great episode @DermotBannon lovely fantasy for us love the solar panels too , #RoomToImprove".
While a third said: "That was one of the best episodes in a long time and not because any of the others in the past were bad.. it's because they were a lovely couple and Dermot kept it seeming simple but the end result was fab… well done #RoomToImprove".
Others praised Clare for her fantastic job of keeping Dermot on budget and even said they would hire her themselves.
They said: "Whoa another build under budget! Definitely getting this QC if I ever build my own. #RoomToImprove".
