RTE Late Late Show viewers all saying the same thing about ‘truly inspiring’ interviews

RTE Late Late viewers have been praising the ‘truly inspiring’ interviews that featured on tonight’s show.

Ryan Tubridy was firstly joined by Mary Robinson and Mary McAleese to discuss the current invasion of Ukraine by the Russian military.

The pair spoke out against the violent attacks on citizens in several Ukrainian cities and even called out the Russian President on air.

One viewer said: “Mary Robinson and Mary McAleese on the #LateLateShow articulate, statesmanlike & inspiring, would be great to see them more, especially together.”

Another said: “Don’t really ever watch the #LateLateShow but happened to see Mary McAleese and Mary Robinson interviewed this evening - both such inspiring women.”

Dolly Parton then joined Ryan live-in-studio via video link to discuss how she gave millions of books to children as part of her non-profit Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.

Everyone was commenting on Paron’s kind nature, and one viewer wrote: “Love love love Dolly Parton but even more so for her dolly's library supporting kids to read.

“The idea of little ones having up to 60 books when they reach the age of 5 is just what the world needs now.”

Another said: “Fair play to Dolly Parton. She's amazing for all she does. Such a lovely initiative promoting literacy in little ones.”

Finally, the first Irishwoman to row solo and unaided across the Atlantic ocean, Karen Weekes, joined Tubridy in the studio.

She spent 80 days rowing 3,000 nautical miles and told viewers of how it tested her to the limits.

From her run-ins with sharks and polar bears to being unable to walk after the incredible journey, viewers are hailing Weekes for her strength and fearlessness.

One viewer wrote: “What an achievement!! Great interview. She's good fun and extremely brave!!”

Another said: “Followed Karen's journey on Instagram over the last few months, she's absolutely incredible.’

Speaking more generally about tonight show, one person wrote: “The women on the show tonight are truly inspiring people to look up to.”

A second said: “The women on tonight’s Late Late are the definition of inspiration.. Loved it.”
