Claire Byrne remains the firm favourite to replace Ryan Tubridy as Late Late Show host.
The broadcaster is proving the most popular with punters this week, according to the latest odds from Boylesports. Claire has jumped from 6/5 to 2/5 odds of taking over from Ryan this May. The betting agency confirmed that interest in the odds had increased amongst the public after a previous lag.
BoyleSports spokesperson Sarah Kinsella commented: “The odds have tightened on Claire Byrne for the first time in about two weeks and despite a recent lull in the betting, interest has piqued again. Patrick Kielty is in close pursuit but has a lot of ground to make in the race for the top job at Montrose.”

Patrick Kiely remains the most likely male presenter to seize the gig. The comedian has emerged as a possible contender with odds tumbling into 5/2 from 16/1.
Other contenders for the top job include Sarah McInerney, Angela Scanlon and Doireann Garrihy. Ryan Tubridy will bow out from hosting duties on the Late Late Show on May 26, just days before he celebrates his 50th birthday.
