RTE Late Late Show has savage five-word comeback for haters after latest episode

The Late Late Show continued on RTE last night, with a jam-packed line-up including Brian Cox, Santis O’Garro, TradFest, Cuckoo’s Nest, and Mike Hanrahan.

The popular chat show is a Friday night ritual for many households - and often sparks divided opinions.

While some people love it, others use social media to take aim at the show.

After last night's episode, the Ryan Tubridy-hosted show took to the internet with a savage comeback for critics.

It's official account took on the 'Titanic' trend going around on TikTok and aced it with a hilarious video.

The viral trend uses a boat filter set to an instrumental of Celine Dion's 'My Heart Will Go On', RSVP reports.

The Late Late Show video edited Ryan Tubridy into the boat, with the writing over it reading: “Ryan leaving the studio after Twitter user @4623718902816 says ‘I won’t be watching that crap tonight”.

They savagely captioned it with five-words: “Another one bites the dust”.

The video was shared on both TikTok and Instagram, where it has racked up over 180,000 views.

One person said: “Ok whoever did this needs a massive raise - GAS”.

A second commenter wrote: “Priceless! Give your ‘social media’ manager a raise!! Best laugh I got in a long while!!!”

Another viewer joked: “You're trying so hard to hold in the tears too. Brave soul.”

A host of celebrities also responded.

Lucy Kennedy wrote "Nice one" along with several laughing face emojis.

Angela Scanlon, So Sue Me and Aimee Music also shared their amusement at the post.

On last night's show, Brian Cox was a major hit after his appearance was rescheduled from last year.

The actor is known for his roles in Succession, Braveheart, and Bourne Identity. He spoke about his connection to Ireland, why he dreams of an independent Scotland, and the odd thing his fans ask him to curse at them.
