Royal fans in stitches as they compare King Charles' new cypher to Apprentice logo fail

The new cypher for King Charles III has been revealed, showing an image of 'CIIIR' which will feature on new post boxes, state documents and used by the government. The cypher was personally chosen by the King, from a range of designs produced by the College of Arms.

The monogram combines his initial 'C' and 'R' which stands for Rex, the Latin for king, and III for the third King Charles. It is set to replace the E II R of Queen Elizabeth II as she passed away earlier this month. And while many are praising the new cypher, some people couldn't help but make amusing comparisons between the royal monogram and other logos, and have been left in stitches as a result.

In a hilarious tweet, someone likened the cypher to the bizarre cruise ship logo that BBC Apprentice fans might recognise.

In an episode from January, the contestants were asked to come up with marketing materials for a luxury cruise liner. The boys team opted to use the name 'Seaquility' and mocked up a logo that saw a person in the upward facing dog yoga pose, merged with a wave.

The logo was hilariously likened to 'a banana rotting upside down', a 'bogey', and 'slime' by contestant Harry Mahmood.

On Twitter, it has since been edited over the 'C' of the cypher, by a user named Liam Conlan - and it's given Apprentice fans, including Lord Sugar, a good chuckle.

Alan Sugar quoted the cypher tweet himself, with many people reacting with crying with laughter emojis.

Someone else pointed out that the cypher looks just like Cristiano Ronaldo ’s CR7 logo and that they would always associate the two due to the unbelievable similarities.

The CR7 logo was created using his initials and shirt number, but it's hilariously been left looking like Charles' cypher which will be gradually phased in, much like money which is set to feature the new monarch.

Ronaldo's trademark is used for a string of products, including CR7 underwear, perfume, and even leather shoes.

The similarities caused a hilarious stir, with one user posting a short clip of Ronaldo storming off the pitch, writing: "Cristiano Ronaldo when he sees what King Charles’ cypher looks like."
