Roy Keane has defended Erling Haaland after the Manchester City striker received criticism for his performance in City's defeat by Liverpool last weekend.
Haaland made his first official appearance for City following his £51m summer move from Borussia Dortmund, but he struggled to have a huge impact on the game as his side lost 3-1 to Liverpool in the Community Shield.
Haaland did play an important role in City's equaliser when he laid the ball off to Kevin De Bruyne, but for much of the match he and his new teammates didn't seem to be on quite the same wavelength.
