Roy Keane booed by 50,000 at Croke Park after appearing on big screen at Cork v Dublin

It's been a bad day for Cork at Croke Park this afternoon. A spirited first half showing has dissipated, with the Dubs cruising towards the final four of the All Ireland.

It was a bad afternoon for one Corkman in particular. And that man is Roy Keane.

Keane, who is of course a diehard Rebel, appeared on the big screen just before the 50 minute mark in today's All Ireland quarter-final clash. And when the Manchester United legend appeared on the big screen, the stadium started to boo in unison.

Many took to Twitter to comment on the bizarre incident that they had just seen.

"#RoyKeane just got booed at Croke Park," says one.

"Roy Keane being at the dubs v cork game getting booed haha," wrote another.

"Roy Keane is here at Croker. Not even he could save this Cork team," said a third user.

The announced attendance for today's game was 50,874.

It must be said that the booing appeared to be done in jest. Regardless, Cork's favourite son took it in his stride and was able to find the funny side.
