Roy Keane and Gary Neville have told Manchester United what Jude Bellingham transfer would give them

Roy Keane and Gary Neville have underlined what generational starlet Jude Bellingham would bring to Old Trafford should Manchester United win the race for his sought-after services. Bellingham, 19, continues to emerge as an elite force with each and every game that passes for England at the World Cup.

Starting all four matches at the Qatar showcase, so far, Bellingham was a shining light for England during the last-16 victory over Senegal with another "mature" and "fearless" performance. It was too much for Keane and Neville to get their heads around while on punditry duty at the Al-Bayt Stadium on Monday night.

Bellingham was tracked by United when he moved to Borussia Dortmund from Birmingham City two summers ago. But should they come calling for the midfielder, once again, they would have to pay a hefty fee, with other possible suitors including Manchester City, Liverpool and Real Madrid.

He really does have the footballing world at his feet. But what makes him so special?

Keane waxed lyrical about Bellingham at half-time and both pundits outlined his worth during post-match analysis on the ITV Sport panel. Keane said: "He's going to be a superstar that kid, the word we keep saying, maturity. It's like he's played 100 times for England, fantastic performance."

He added: "I've not seen a young midfielder play like that for years, normally you see one at 26 or 27. Everything in the game, we talk about what goes on in his brain, he's like a man - that maturity - what's going on upstairs is huge for a midfielder, decision-making, final pass and the kid has everything."

Neville agreed with his former United teammate. He said: "It's very rare you see a player so comfortable in his own half as he is in his opposition's half. This idea is he a holding player? An attacking player? He's got everything. It's the composure and the fearlessness that I can't get my head around.

"I've watched players play for England for years and the weight of the shirt was enormous, he just doesn't feel it. It looks like he belongs out there. He wants it and he needs it."
