Rod Stewart has shared an iconic throwback photo with pop legend Cyndi Lauper as the rock legend joked she's been pinching his famous hairstyle since 1988.
The sweet 'then and now' snap was posted to his Instagram on Wednesday, with the younger Maggie May singer pictured alongside 'Girls Just Wanna Have Fun' singing sensation in the 80s.
The hilarious photo shows the American singer, now 69, alongside Rod, 78, back in the good old days at an awards night and the resemblance in their barnet is comically uncanny.
Alongside the throwback picture he also shared a photo of the pair recently in Australia as she supported his tour, with their backs to the camera and his arm around her.
"Oh no, not again! Cyndi’s been stealing my hairdo since 1988! Love you, Cyn!," Sir Rod wrote on his Instagram page as he tagged the 69-year-old in the social media post referencing his song 'Infatuation.'
And fans flooded to the comments to share their thoughts at the "hilarious" comparison as they showcased their love for the "two music legends."
One person wrote: "That's hilarious...love her. Very talented, two of my favourite people together."
"I grew up listening to you both. You're both amazing. Love your music, legends always," quipped another fan.
A third added: "Blondes have more fun! you both look great."
Meanwhile, Rod Stewart and his wife Penny Lancaster have reportedly renewed their vows for the second time as the singer tours Australia.
The 78-year-old has been married to model Penny, 52, since 2007. The pair, who started dating in 1999, renewed their vows for the first time in 2017 to mark their ten year anniversary.
Sir Rod has been touring Australia for the last month and is joined Down Under by Penny and their two sons Alastair, 17, and Aiden, 12. The Hoops daft singer reportedly "spaced out his tour" so his children could attend the ceremony, according to Woman's Day magazine.
"There's a very good reason why Rod's insisted he space out his tour dates – it's the perfect place and the perfect time to renew their wedding vows," a close pal told the publication.
"They wanted to do this years ago but, just like his Aussie tour, that's been another thing on hold. Now they can't wait and are using this chance to do something special while here."
They added: "They love Australia and have incredibly happy family memories of their time there when the boys were little. They think there's something magical about Australia and want to exchange new marriage vows there. Penny's made Rod a very happy man and he can't wait to celebrate their against-all-odds union."
