Fans of the Boston Celtics got more bad news on Tuesday, with Heavy’s Sean Deveney reporting that the Celtics will be without the services of big man Robert Williams III for 4-6 weeks with the center getting a clean-up surgery on the same knee that sidelined him at the end of the 2021-22 season with a torn meniscus.
With veteran forward Danilo Gallinari already out for the regular season or longer, Boston’s frontcourt is disturbingly thin terms of proven depth — what could that mean for the team’s plans for the rest of the offseason?
