Cleveland Browns general manager Andrew Berry’s decision to add quarterback Joe Flacco in the middle of November may have been one of his best decisions. Flacco has been lighting it up and has fans and people like me believing that he can win a playoff game or two. If only the New York Jets and head coach Robert Saleh would have made the same effort
Long before joining the Browns, the Jets had the chance to bring Flacco back into their building following the injury to Aaron Rodgers, but the team wasn’t interested in signing him. When asked this week if the team now regrets not making the move Saleh said they do not.
“Every decision we make comes with deep thought and logic. There’s no regret there.”
It’s safe to say if they were given the chance to do it over again they likely would make a different decision. Not that it guarantees Flacco would have played as well on that team as opposed to Cleveland he’s still miles better than any player they have started this year. Flacco will get a chance to clinch a playoff birth against the team that wasn’t interested in him on Thursday in Cleveland.
