Jets coach Robert Saleh has his work cut out for him this weekend when his squad will be faced with stopping an undefeated Eagles team and their signature weapon: the Tush Push.
The play, also referred to the as the Brotherly Shove, is just a simple quarterback sneak that has served Philadelphia well. It’s signature, frankly, because of the Eagles’ elite offensive line and their bulldozer of a quarterback—Jalen Hurts. When talking to reporters Wednesday, Saleh addressed the difficulty of stopping Hurts and the seemingly unstoppable play in short yardage situations.
“They’re really good at it,” Saleh said on the play. “It feels like the quarterback is wearing a bulletproof vest when you look at him, he’s got all that padding on. We’ll do our best in that regard, but if the quarterback carries the ball, we gotta give him 11 kisses.”

Saleh’s remark can be interpreted as all 11 New York defenders need to make an effort to tackle Hurts when he has the ball. The 223-pound signal-caller has already rushed for four touchdowns in five games this season and is sitting at 206 yards on the ground going into Week 6.
Kick off at MetLife Stadium is scheduled for 4:25 p.m. ET on Sunday.
