Robert Rinder has shared a string of 'heartbreaking' images as she was finally united with his former Strictly Come Dancing partner's family.
Last week the TV star, who is best known to viewers for appearing on his own ITV show Judge Rinder, said last week that he was travelling to the Ukrainian border with the hope of rescuing Oksana Platero's grandparents from the war-torn country.
He set out on his trip to Ukraine's border with Poland on Monday (March 14) as people continue to flee the country, with three million thought to have left Ukraine so far.

Rob said Oksana 'gifted him so much' during their Strictly stint in 2017 and that he wanted to try and meet them and bring them to safety.
However, by the time the criminal barrister arrived at the border in the town of Przemysl, Oksan's family had managed to escape and arrive safely in Poland. They said during an appearance via video link on This Morning on Tuesday, however, that they are in desperate need of a wheelchair and medication.
Judge Rinder told Phillip Schofield and Josie Gibson: "It's been such a gift to be able to give something back to Oksana - as silly as it is against this background - there was such joy in Strictly and I loved every bit of it.
"Then I discovered that her family were trying to flee Ukraine, avoiding shelling and managed to cross the border a couple of days ago."
He continued: "This is a story that illustrates the situation people find themselves in. The 95-year-old grandma doesn't have a wheelchair, so we have to source that. They don't have their medication. Hopefully, we're going to get hold of as much as we can and finally go and reunite them with the stuff they need tomorrow morning."
And Rob has now shared a bittersweet update after keeping his followers in the loop with his trip. "Oksana’s family: Auntie Lidya and Grandma Zoya," the 43-year-old shared alongside images of him warmly embracing Oksana's elderly relative.
"We managed to reach them this morning with a wheelchair & some medical supplies," he continued. "Despite having nearly nothing.. they are 'grateful for everything.'"
Both images showed Rob, Lidya, and Zoya in tears with many followers commenting on how 'heartbreaking' the images were to see.
Presenter Gaby Roslin said: "This is heartbreaking but you bring hope and spread kindness. You are an inspiration my darling friend," while Dancing On Ice judge Oti Mabuse simply wrote: "Wow," alongside a love heart.
His followers were also commenting on the post with @mrs.danielle.greenhough writing: "Oh what a beautiful person you are. So very heartbreaking.
