Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Labels Biden A Threat To Democracy

U.S. President Biden delivers remarks on healthcare coverage and the economy, in Washington

Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. recently made headlines by asserting that President Joe Biden represents a more significant danger to democracy than former President Donald Trump. Kennedy's argument revolves around what he perceives as censorship of political speech during the Biden administration, which he claims undermines the First Amendment.

One of Kennedy's key points is his own experience of being blocked on social media platforms, which he attributes to pressure from the Biden administration. He cites this as evidence of Biden's use of federal agencies to stifle political opposition.

In 2021, Kennedy's Instagram account was suspended for sharing what the platform deemed as debunked claims about the coronavirus and vaccines. However, his account was reinstated after he announced his presidential campaign, with Meta citing his candidacy as the reason for the restoration.

Kennedy has been vocal about freedom of speech issues and has testified before the House Judiciary's subcommittee on the alleged weaponization of federal agencies. He has accused Biden of leveraging government entities against his political adversaries.

Despite being a member of the Kennedy family, known for its Democratic ties, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has faced criticism from some relatives for challenging Biden. However, he maintains that he feels loved by his family members, even those who support the current president.

Kennedy's campaign platform emphasizes addressing the national debt and reducing the US defense budget, goals he believes neither Biden nor Trump will prioritize. He sees his candidacy as an opportunity to reshape governance in the country and restore moral authority on the global stage.

While acknowledging disagreements within his family, Kennedy remains steadfast in his commitment to his campaign, aiming to bring about substantial changes in governance and foreign policy.
