Pop star Robbie Williams will perform at Soccer Aid’s half-time to mark its 20th anniversary.
The 52-year old will sing at the London Stadium during the annual celebrity-charity fundraising match for Unicef on May 31.
Williams, who is a UK ambassador for children’s charity Unicef, co-founded the fundraising event which has since raised more than £121 million.
The game will see England take on a world XI with a number of star-studded players taking the pitch including actor Tom Hiddleston, former England footballer Wayne Rooney, F1 star Damson Idris and Adolescence actor Owen Cooper.
Other celebrities joining the match include social media star GK Barry, Olympian Usain Bolt, streamer Angry Ginge and presenter Jordan North.
Former rugby player Joe Marler will also compete alongside presenter Paddy McGuinness, singer Tom Grennan, actor Richard Gadd, comedian Maisie Adam and gladiator Nitro, real name Harry Leslie Aikines-Aryeetey.
Singer Olly Murs will also compete in the match following his five-day Into The Unknown challenge which involves him running, cycling and rowing for 249 miles between Manchester and London, with no clue of what to expect on his route until just before he starts each day.
According to Soccer Aid, the money raised from this year’s game could help Unicef’s work with families, communities and trusted partners to bring “life-changing support to children around the world, like clean water, vital vaccinations or the opportunity to learn, so that every child can get the best start in life”.
Williams rose to fame as part of the boyband Take That, who were behind the hit songs Pray, Everything Changes and Sure, before launching his solo career.
He released his 13th studio album Britpop in January and has become the artist with the most number one albums in the UK charts with 16 – including compilations and soundtracks – after previously being tied with The Beatles.
More details about the performance and the song Williams will sing are yet to be announced.
