Robbie Fowler has criticised Manchester United’s transfer policy as Darwin Nunez closes in on a move to his former club Liverpool.
Reds boss Jurgen Klopp has made Benfica striker Nunez his top transfer target this summer with the club's new sporting director Julian Ward currently in Portugal attempting to seal the deal.
United have also expressed an interest in signing the 22-year-old Uruguay international but a lack of Champions League football has hindered their chances.
