A road closure is causing chaos for local residents in an area of north Liverpool.
Long Lane in Fazakerley was initially closed at the junction of Longmoor Lane on March 13, 2023, to allow United Utilities to carry out repair and maintenance works.
It is understood the road was expected to open by March 22, but the date was pushed back until March 29 and has now been extended further until April 6.

Temporary traffic lights will also be in place on Longmoor Lane for the duration, according to one.network, with "delays likely".
Lynne Wanless, 56, who lives on Long Lane, told the ECHO the roadworks have "not been organised at all".
She added: "I'm waiting for a major accident to happen. They should have closed Sandy Lane to stop it being used as a cut through - buses and HGVs have been down there."
"It's a nightmare. There's no care or consideration for residents. At peak times there are cars coming both directions, I'm scared to cross the road."
Richard, 56, said he's witnessed "stand offs" between cars on Sandy Lane and that local residents haven't been notified of the extension of works.
He thinks police should be in attendance for an hour each day checking the credentials of anyone who's not a resident. Richard added: "They'll just park anywhere because the road's closed. I disagree with parking on the pavement full stop.
"You can hear the horns beeping. If I lived down there I would be really annoyed. Why is it in this day and age the police complain we don't help them, but they don't help us."
The ECHO has reached out to Liverpool City Council for comment.
