The roads over Christmas are predicted to be far busier than ever before as people travel home for the holidays.

Traffic on Christmas Eve is expected to be the highest it’s been since Covid, the RAC found; 4.2 million getaways are planned and the company advised drivers to avoid major roads between 11am and 7pm when most trips are likely to be made.
