A suspected burglar was chased onto a roof before being talked down by Merseyside Police.
The man was chased by Merseyside Police onto the roof of a house on Bodley Street, Anfield at around 7.43pm last night, Friday, July 29. The man climbed onto the roof of a terraced house before he was eventually talked down by Merseyside Police officers.
The man was later arrested on suspicion of burglary. Merseyside Police closed Bodley Street and part of Walton Hall causing some minor disruptions. The road was later reopened after officers had talked the man down.

Pictures from the scene showed a large police presence on Bodley Street. Emergency service vehicles from Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service and North West Ambulance Service were also spotted at the scene.
