Rishi Sunak is answering MPs’ questions in the House of Commons amid the fallout from Sir Gavin Williamson’s resignation.
The Prime Minister said he “obviously regret(s)” appointing Sir Gavin to his Cabinet and said it was “absolutely right that he resigned”.
Mr Sunak was earlier defended by Education Secretary Gillian Keegan before the showdown with Labour’s Keir Starmer.
The PM said he possesses the “highest degree of integrity and judgment” despite bringing the twice-sacked minister back into Government while knowing of a complaint against him.
