Rishi Sunak and Keir Starmer to go head-to-head in TV debate – how to watch

AHEAD of next week’s General Election, the BBC is set to host the final head-to-head leaders’ debate before polling day.

Rishi Sunak and Keir Starmer will go head-to-head the day following a day of betting scandals for both parties.

Scottish Secretary Alister Jack came in for fierce criticism after claiming he won £2000 betting on the date of the General Election, while Labour also suspended a parliamentary candidate after being told the Gambling Commission has launched an investigation into him.

Here’s all you need to know about tonight’s debate.

How can I watch tonight’s debate?

The latest TV debate will be broadcast live on BBC One and iPlayer from Nottingham and will take place from 8.15pm-9.30pm.

A signed version will also be available on the BBC News channel from 8.15pm. Anyone wishing to listen on the radio can tune into BBC Radio 4 at the same time.

It will be hosted by Mishal Husain and, once finished, there will be analysis from Laura Kuenssberg and Clive Myrie from 9.30pm-10pm.

Who is on the debate?

Tonight’s debate will only feature the Labour and Tory leader although there is still another debate to come.

An additional Question Time leaders’ special featuring representatives from Reform UK and the Green Party.

It will be broadcast on BBC One and BBC iPlayer at 8pm on June 28.
