A Ring customer captured a sight many would fear: a spider crawling across his kitchen worktop. Simon Thompson, 60, shared the footage from his Ring Indoor Cam.
In the clip, the eight-legged creature creeps across the kitchen counter at just 6:44pm, clearly visible through Ring’s night vision feature. Simon said: “When I first saw the footage, I was amazed at the clarity, even more so as it was taken at night. Obviously, the closeness of the spider makes it look enormous.
“This is the first time we have caught anything like this on camera apart from various wildlife on the outdoor cameras, [such as] deer, birds, rabbits [and] squirrels etc.”
Simon purchased his Indoor Cam as part of the Ring Alarm Security Package and also has a Ring Video Doorbell.
This isn’t the first time ‘scary’ creatures have been captured using Ring devices. The smart home security recently released a compilation of footage shared with them by customers featuring a tarantula, bat and snake all paying a visit to homes across the world.
