Bucking the trend of performers of the recent past, Rihanna performed completely solo but still managed to amaze. Many took to Twitter to praise her performance with one user saying: "WHAT A SHOW! SORRY RIHANNA IS MOTHER!!!!"

Another commended her for holding the stage on her own and said: "Rihanna with an iconic, singular, and quite literally transcendent performance, and no guests because none were needed."

Another fan tweeted: "I need 13 more minutes of Rihanna." While another added "Rihanna is NOT PLAYING!!!! Has the whole audience in the palm of her hand."

Rihanna performed at the 57 instalment of the Super Bowl. The show was previously dubbed the Pepsi Super Bowl Halftime Show, but from this year will be know as the Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show after the music company confirmed it was taking over the role as sponsor.

Kansas City Chiefs were crowned winners of Super Bowl LVII after defeating the Philadelphia Eagles 38-35.
