Ridvan Yilmaz on 'dream' Rangers transfer as he sends emotional Besiktas goodbye ahead of imminent Ibrox arrival

Incoming Ridvan Yilmaz has branded his imminent move to Rangers "a dream come true" as he penned an emotional farewell to Besiktas.

The Turkish international is set to become The Light Blues seventh signing of the summer with the club moving quickly to replace by Calvin Bassey after his big money move to Dutch giants Ajax. The Turkish club's £6m asking price had proved a sticking point but reports suggested that the 21-year-old had left Beskitas' Spanish training to undergo a medical.

Besiktas have addressed negotiations with Rangers over a move for left-back confirmed the talks with the Europa League finalists over a deal. However, Yilmaz has went one step further and all-but confirmed that a move to the Scottish Premiership has already been completed behind the scenes.

Speaking through sports agency De Marke, Yilmaz said: "I am very happy, I am making my dream come true. I had a dream of making money and leaving this club and I made it happen.

"Of course, it hurts to leave, but everyone should know that I went to represent the great Beşiktaş community in Europe in the best way possible.

"I am very emotional. I have been in Beşiktaş for 13 years. I would like to thank everyone who contributed. Separations are also included in love. We always have a brotherhood."
