Richarlison 'replacement' emerges as Everton linked with £20m forward

Everton are being linked with a move for Watford striker Emmanuel Dennis.

The Blues are yet to complete any signings this summer, as Frank Lampard mulls over his plans ahead of the new campaign. Everton will be looking to build on their 16th place finish in the Premier League last term.

According to a report by Mail Online, Everton have expressed an interest in signing Dennis this summer from Watford. The Hornets were relegated to the Championship last term, and there is likely to be interest in their star player.

The report states that Dennis is valued at around £20million, despite only signing a five-year at Watford from Club Brugge last summer. It has also been claimed that Everton will only consider a move for Dennis if Richarlison leaves Goodison Park.

The future of the Brazilian has been the subject of plenty of speculation in recent weeks. Tottenham Hotspur have been credited with an interest in Richarlison, with an asking price of around £51m being rumoured.

Dennis impressed in his first season in the Championship, scoring 10 goals and providing six assists in 33 appearances. However, his form could not prevent Watford from dropping into the Championship, and clubs could circle to sign their prized forward.

The 24-year-old was the star for Watford when they beat Everton 5-2 at Goodison last October. The Nigeria international scored once and provided two assists against then-Rafa Benitez managed team.
