Richard Madeley jokingly threatened to walk out of ITV's studios this morning, after a co-hosting Susanna Reid compared his appearance to that of a popular Ken doll.
The 66-year-old host returned to his usual duties of Good Morning Britain earlier this week following a 'freak' accident - with he and Susanna discussing space scientist Dr Maggie Aderin-Pocock, after she was honoured with a lookalike Barbie.
Susanna then went on to admit that she would love to receive a doll in her likeness, with Richard agreeing that it would be admirable to have his own personalised Ken.

The Mirror reports that Susanna then quipped: “To be fair Richard, you do look like the spitting image of Ken,” to which he jokingly replied: “Oh get lost. Okay, I'm out of here," adding: "There's only so much I can ... being likened to a plastic [doll], come on!”
Ranvir Singh returned to the debate later in the programme as she told the hosts GMB had compiled a lookalike shot, with a split screen of Ken and Richard on it. Ranvir said: “The traditional Ken, who you know Richard, must be modelled on you.”
Not seeing any similarity, Richard replied: “What are you talking about?”
Susanna then teased: “Don't worry, we don't want to risk another walkout... There was a threat of a walkout at the beginning of the programme.”
However, Ranvir insisted Richard shouldn't take offence and said being compared to Ken was a 'compliment'. It comes after Richard told his Good Morning Britain co-host Susanna why he had been absent from his hosting role for two weeks, as he returned to the studio on Monday.
The presenter had been missing from his usual spot alongside Susanna and explained an injury was responsible for his absence. During Monday's show, Susanna welcomed her co-presenter back as he admitted he needed to have an operation due to a 'freak accident'.
Susanna remarked: "We haven't yet, Richard Madeley, said welcome back, you appear to have made a full recovery."
"Oh yes, hi," Richard replied before explaining he had been talking with a lisp for 'quite a long time'. He continued: "I was either a freak having an accident or I had a freak accident, take your pick.
"I was crouching down on a slope between my open car door and I was just fiddling around with something at the bottom of the car and I turned around just as the door decided to close itself, gravity pulled it shut."
As Susanna gasped and put her head in her hands, her co-host added: "It's a big heavy door and it hit me on the chin and I really bit my tongue, to the extent I needed an op, I had to have some stitches in it."
