Mohammed Salah is set to leave Liverpool on a free transfer this summer.
The 33-year-old surprised many on Tuesday by announcing that he is leaving Anfield this summer, calling time on a trophy-laden nine-year spell with the club.
Salah won the Premier League twice, and lifted the Champions League, FA Cup, Carabao Cup, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup during his time on Merseyside.
But, despite signing a two-year contract extension last summer, worth a staggering £400,000-a-week, Salah has confirmed the next three months will be his last with Liverpool.
Questions regarding Salah's next club immediately dominated the fallout to the announcement, but his agent, Ramy Abbas Issa, has already moved to quell the speculation.
Writing on X, he bluntly posted: "We do not know where Mohamed will play next season. This also means that no one else knows. Beware of the click-wh***** attention seekers."
Despite his stature, it appears that whatever club Salah chooses next will be picking up a bargain.
According to talkSPORT, Salah has forfeited the final 12 months of his contract, which has been valued at £20million, to leave the club on a free transfer at the end of June.
The same report claims that Salah and Liverpool have been in discussions over an earlier-than-expected exit since December, as he prepared for the Africa Cup of Nations.
Salah at the time claimed he had been "thrown under the bus" by the club, and that his relationship with head coach Arne Slot had broken down.
The Egyptian’s ire appeared to stem from his disbelief at being left on the bench for three games in a row, and his public disagreement with the coach and club is said to have accelerated his exit talks.
Salah has 11 goals for Liverpool this season, which is significantly down on his record-setting best for the club.
