A road rally with retro and top quality cars will be touring around Ireland once again this summer.

The road trip will begin in Wexford on May 26 at 9:30am on the quay before heading down the country to take in the copper coast and come in to Waterford city centre where there will be a break for lunch.

In the evening the trip will go to Kinsale and stay overnight in the Raddison Hotel in Cork. In the morning the drivers will head to Cashel in Tipperary up through the Hidden Heartlands before the grand finish in Tullamore.

There will be a number of high quality cars taking place in the road trip including Jaguar E-Types, Ferrari 348 GTS, Mercedes-Benz SL classics, a Lancia Beta, a BMW 635CSI, a Porsche 911 Carrera and a Porsche 911 Targa, an MG Midget, a Ford Escort Cosworth, a Chevrolet Corvette, a classic VW Beetle, a Ford Thunderbird, a mini cooper and many more.

Cannonball founder Alan Bannon said: “We are welcoming cars from the golden era of the 60’s,70’s, 80’s and early 90’s to take in stunning drives and many famous Irish landmarks. Classic cars not only appeal to car lovers, but also to lovers of engineering, design, art and history. They retain an incurable romance and that is the reason why people do, and always will, love classic cars.”
