Republican primary elections for all 99 districts in the Wisconsin State Assembly took place on Aug. 9, 2022. Of the 99 districts up for election in 2022, 23 had a Republican primary election with more than one candidate.
Across all contested Republican primary elections, candidates raised $1.3 million. Incumbents raised an average of $79,547 per candidate and challengers raised an average of $14,383 per candidate.

#1 District 63 – $323,030
Incumbent Robin Vos raised $254,447 and Adam Steen raised $68,583.
Robin Vos advanced to the general election with 51 percent of the vote and Adam Steen received 49 percent of the vote.
#2 District 32 – $134,918
Incumbent Tyler August raised $129,051 and Bart Williams raised $5,867.
Tyler August advanced to the general election with 75 percent of the vote and Bart Williams received 25 percent of the vote.
#3 District 6 – $113,002
Peter Schmidt raised $66,516, Dean Neubert raised $16,376, Matthew Albert raised $11,371, Craig Arrowood raised $10,540, Nathan Michael raised $5,445, and David Kohn raised $2,754.
Peter Schmidt advanced to the general election with 23 percent of the vote, Dean Neubert received 23 percent of the vote, Nathan Michael received 20 percent of the vote, David Kohn received 14 percent of the vote, Craig Arrowood received 12 percent of the vote, and Matthew Albert received 9 percent of the vote.
#4 District 1 – $68,088
Incumbent Joel Kitchens raised $61,888 and Milt Swagel raised $6,200.
Joel Kitchens advanced to the general election with 78 percent of the vote and Milt Swagel received 22 percent of the vote.
#5 District 31 – $56,747
Ellen Schutt raised $30,344, Jason Dean raised $16,215, and Maryann Zimmerman raised $10,189.
Ellen Schutt advanced to the general election with 43 percent of the vote, Maryann Zimmerman received 31 percent of the vote, and Jason Dean received 26 percent of the vote.
