RESTORE Britain are now the third-largest party in Scotland, says its leader, Rupert Lowe.

Lowe has claimed his party now have 11,117 registered supporters making them the third-largest party by membership, behind the SNP and Reform UK.

The Great Yarmouth MP said: "Scottish Labour has lost a third of its members in five years, and the Scottish Conservatives are a shadow of what they were.

"We have been a political party for less than a year and we have already overtaken both of them, and the Greens too.

"The old parties are not just losing arguments. They are losing members. In Scotland, they are losing them to us."

The National could not independently verify this number, as membership details are not publicly verifiable or externally regulated.

There is also no legal obligation for parties to publish audited membership statistics.

Lowe was previously a member of the Conservatives but was elected a Reform MP in 2024 before leaving the following year.

Restore Britain says that Reform UK, its political rival on the right, has 12,500 members in Scotland, citing claims by The Spectator.

In August, Labour leader Michael Marra said Labour had experienced a 33% drop in membership from 2021 to around 11,000.

The Scottish Greens say they have 10,000 members, while the Scottish Conservatives have not given any recent membership numbers.

In an annual report, it was revealed that the SNP had 51,000 by the end of 2025.

It was revealed this week that Restore Britain will field a candidate in the Mid Argyll ward of Argyll and Bute Council when voters go to the polls on October 29.

The by-election will mark the first time Restore Britain has put forward a candidate in a Scottish election.

It came just weeks after Lowe announced his party would pursue a policy of “rolling back devolution” in a bid to “strengthen the Union”.

Restore Britain’s other policies include seeking “net negative” immigration, while Lowe has also suggested holding a referendum on restoring the death penalty.
