Whether it's for your food shop, a trip to Specsavers or to pick up your essentials from Boots, Clifton Down shopping centre is a regular haunt for those living on or near Whiteladies Road. And now it could be all change as three businesses there go up for sale.
The future of the shopping centre has been somewhat of a question mark since 2020, when it was sold in a landmark £27.2 million deal. Sovereign Housing Association, which bought it, said at the time that they have 'ambitious plans' for the shopping centre and adjacent land.
Whilst Whiteladies Road in Clifton is a hotspot for hospitality, three businesses there are now up for sale. Situated on the ground floor below Snap Fitness, agents say the units cover a prime location for further retail opportunity.

Back in 2020, the Clifton Down Shopping Centre sale saw Sovereign Housing Association discuss the opportunity of providing more than just retail on the land. They stated that "in the medium to long term there is the potential to redevelop the site to create a sustainable major mixed use development to include affordable and market housing".
Income generated from the project could pay for additional affordable housing across the south of England, bosses said at the time.
The ground floor units currently up for the taking offer a business split into three sections: a restaurant, takeaway and desserts/sweet shop. The three businesses included in the £360,000 asking price are Mediterranean eateries Kouzina and Metaxi Mas, and sweet shop Sweet Corner.
The agent, Hilton Smythe, state in their marketing material that it is an "exciting opportunity to acquire, on a leasehold basis, an exceptionally well run and performing restaurant, take away, and a desserts /sweet shop". It adds: "The restaurant has very little competition around and would be a great opportunity for any purchaser with experience in the trade.
"The business trades on its reputation for quality and service and has outstanding future possibilities. It would potentially be an ideal acquisition to some similar sized or larger enterprise looking to increase its position and presence within the industry."
The businesses have been placed on the open market as the seller wishes to leave the industry due to other business interests, the agents say.
