Residents in the Democratic stronghold of Brooklyn's Clinton Hill are expressing growing concerns over a mega shelter for migrants that has been causing disruptions in the once peaceful neighborhood. The complex, established by New York City to accommodate thousands of migrants, has led to a surge in criminal activities, violence, and overcrowding in the area.

The emergency migrant shelter, located in industrial warehouses in Clinton Hill, has been operational since July 2023 and currently houses around 4,000 migrants. The influx of migrants has raised issues related to safety, sanitation, and public space utilization in the community.
