Steve Taylor, a long-time resident of Camarillo in Ventura County, recently faced the devastating loss of his home to the Mountain fire. Despite owning the property for nearly four decades, Taylor's cherished memories of holiday celebrations at the house now lie in ashes.
Describing the harrowing experience, Taylor recounted his futile attempts to defend his home as the flames rapidly approached. Climbing onto the roof with a hose, he fought against the encroaching fire, but ultimately had to evacuate as the situation became too dangerous.
