Resident Evil 4 Remake and Diablo 4 lead the charge in October Prime Day deals on Xbox games. While it looks like Xbox is waiting until Black Friday for steep discounts on first-party games, its third-party studios are filling the gap this Prime Day with discounts on games ranging from Star Wars to One Piece and more. Bear in mind that these are for physical Xbox games, so if you have a Series S, you won’t be able to take advantage of these deals.
Some of the prices have fluctuated throughout the day as well, though we’ve included alternatives where they exist.
Diablo 4: $47.49
Take a discounted trip to hell and back in Diablo 4, the latest in Blizzard’s long-running action-RPG series. The focus may firmly be on seasonal updates and future Diablo 4 expansions, but there’s plenty of monster flesh to sink your swords and sorcery into in the main campaign as well. You can get the physical copy for $47.49.
Madden 24: $42.99
Madden 24 is going for $42.99, roughly $25 less than its usual asking price. There might not be a whole lot that’s new in the sports game series’ latest iteration, but at least you don’t have to pay full price for it.
Resident Evil 4 Remake: $39.99
Capcom made one of the best horror games even better in Resident Evil 4 Remake, and you can pick it up for $39.99. It dials up the scares, streamlines some of the original’s rougher points, including Ashley’s segments, and even adds new side quests to help you pad your pockets. The newly-released Separate Ways DLC doesn’t come with this, but you do get the Mercenaries multiplayer mode.
Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 Reunion: $24.99
Crisis Core Final Fantasy 7 takes the original PSP game and makes it so much better, with some much-needed improvements to the combat system. While the prequel to Cloud’s tale might seem unnecessary – you know how it ends, after all – it looks like Square Enix is gearing up to put a lot of Crisis Core in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. It’s going for $24.99 while Prime Day lasts.
Immortals of Aveum: $40
EA’s magical FPS game had a rough start, despite some well-thought-out magic and combat systems, but if you’re keen to check it out, you can pick it up for $40.
Marvel's Midnight Suns: $7.50
Speaking of rough starts, here’s Marvel’s Midnight Suns. The strategy Marvel game didn’t perform to Firaxis’ expectations, but there’s a strong blend of tactics and social simulation here that’s definitely worth experiencing. If that sounds like something you’d enjoy, you can get it for $7.50. If Amazon is out of stock at that price, you can try GameStop instead.
NieR Replicant: $15
The first game in the NieR series is discounted to $15 on Xbox One, though you can play it on Series X as well. NieR Replicant follows a group of outcasts as they try to uncover the mysteries behind their decaying world and, if they’re lucky, maybe even keep their loved ones from dying. Replicant is technically an RPG, though since it’s a Yoko Taro game, it defies expectation to an extent, with visual novel, bullet hell, and top-down action segments thrown in for good measure.
One Piece Odyssey: $19
The first One Piece RPG is going for $19, one of the steepest discounts since Bandai Namco first released the game. Odyssey‘s heavy reliance on knowledge of the manga and anime means it’s definitely for the fans, as you’d probably expect from a One Piece game, though there’s still plenty to enjoy for newbies as well.
Star Wars Jedi Survivor: $40
EA is also getting in on the big discounts and dropped the latest adventure of Cal Kestis to $40. Months of stability updates mean Survivor is in the best state since launch, which is a good thing, as there’s a lot to like about it. Survivor is a thoughtful sequel that develops its characters, themes, and mechanics more fully than Fallen Order, though the ending makes waiting for the trilogy’s conclusion pretty tough.
If the Amazon price fluctuates, try Target instead.
PowerWash Simulator: $19
You can clean up your house, someone else’s house, and, thanks to free DLC, Lara Croft’s mansion and even Shinra’s garage in PowerWash Simulator. The quirky cleaning game is down to $19 on Xbox and comes both of those DLC packs for free and the option to team up with friends and scour the world in multiplayer mode if you’re so inclined.
