Allison Guerriero, the security researcher whose whistleblowing exposed former senior FBI counterintelligence official Charles McGonigal, has been found dead in her Boynton Beach, Florida, home. Local authorities discovered her body on Sept. 1, just hours after she posted a series of highly critical messages on social media targeting federal law enforcement figures.
According to Newsweek, Guerriero’s sudden passing comes as a shocking development in a national security scandal that once shook the American intelligence community. Her initial tips to federal investigators helped trigger a major counterespionage probe, eventually leading to the fall of one of the FBI’s highest-ranking agents. At the time of her death, she was still working in the national security world as an associate for political operative Roger Stone.
