Rescue teams were on Wednesday searching north-eastern France for the navigator of a French air force jet, after the pilot died in a crash on Tuesday night in bad weather.

The Mirage 2000D jet went down at around 10.40pm near Nancy during a training flight from Nancy-Ochey Air Base 133.
